The desktop app is eSolverBooks itself, not a copy, so it is never behind the web version. It adds the things a Windows PC does better.
Silent receipt printing
POS receipts go straight to your thermal printer, with no print dialog at the counter. Choose the printer once under Settings.
Its own window and icon
Opens from the Start menu or desktop like any Windows program, without browser tabs or an address bar in the way.

Same account, same data
Sign in with your existing eSolverBooks login. Nothing to migrate: the desktop app and the web app show the same books.
Clear when you are offline
If the internet drops, a friendly screen explains it and reconnects automatically. Your data stays safe on the server.
Secure by design
The app only opens eSolverBooks. Any other link opens in your normal browser, and no files are stored on the PC.
Install
Up and running in three steps

Download the installer
Click the download button and save the file. It is a single .exe for 64-bit Windows.

Run it
Open the downloaded file and follow the short setup. No administrator rights are needed; it installs for your Windows user only.

Sign in
Open eSolverBooks from the desktop or Start menu and sign in with your usual email and password.
If Windows shows “Windows protected your PC”
This is normal for new programs. Click More info, check the app is eSolver Books, then click Run anyway. Antivirus software may also ask once; choose to allow it.
System requirements

- 4 GB RAM and about 400 MB of free disk space
- An internet connection (your books live securely on our servers)
- An eSolverBooks account on any plan
- For POS: an 80 mm thermal receipt printer installed in Windows (optional)
Verify your download
For IT teams: the SHA-512 checksum of eSolverBooks-Setup-1.0.0.exe. In Command Prompt, run the command below in your Downloads folder and compare the result.

Yes. Windows shows this for new programs it has not seen many times yet. Click “More info”, check the app name is eSolver Books, then click “Run anyway”. You can also compare the file’s checksum with the one on this page.
Do I need the desktop app, or can I keep using the browser?
The browser works fully on every plan. The desktop app is most useful at a shop counter, where silent receipt printing and a dedicated window make Point of Sale faster.
Will my data be on this computer?
No. The desktop app works with the same secure servers as the web app, so your books are identical on every device and nothing is lost if a PC breaks.
How do updates work?
New features reach the app automatically as soon as we release them. When the app itself has an update, it downloads in the background and installs the next time you restart it.
Is there a version for Mac or for older Windows?
Not yet. The desktop app supports 64-bit Windows 10 and 11. On a Mac, Windows 7 or Windows 8, please use eSolverBooks in your browser.
How do I uninstall it?
Open Windows Settings, then Apps, find eSolver Books and choose Uninstall. Your account and data on the server are not affected.
